The RAF covers most road users, including:

  • Drivers
  • Passengers
  • Pedestrians
  • Cyclists
  • Motorcyclists

You may qualify to claim if you were not solely responsible for the accident.

You may also claim if:

  • You were a dependant of someone who died in an accident
  • You paid for the funeral of a deceased relative
  • You were injured due to another party’s negligence

You generally cannot claim if:

  • You were the driver and owner of the vehicle solely responsible

The accident involved only you and no other contributing factor (for example, losing control and hitting a tree with no external cause)
